On April 17-18, 2024, the International Scientific and Practical Conference “Theory and Practice of Building the Social Sphere Ecosystem in the Context of the Postwar Revival of Ukraine” was held in a mixed format. The conference was attended by representatives of the government, employers, trade unions of Ukraine, researchers from higher education institutions and primary schools from different parts of Ukraine, Europe, and India, and students. The Minister of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine O. Nemchynov, Acting Rector of the Kyiv National Economic University named after Vadym Hetman D. Lukyanenko, ILO National Coordinator in Ukraine S. Savchuk, First Vice President, General Director of the Union of Entrepreneurs of Small, Medium and Privatized Enterprises of Ukraine V. Bykovets, Editor-in-Chief of the magazine KADROVYK.UA, President of the All-Ukrainian Association of Personnel Officers V. Lypchanska delivered welcoming remarks to the conference participants. A. Kolot opened the scientific discussion with a presentation on the ecosystem approach to solving the latest challenges of sustainable human development. The continuation of the ecosystem approach and the possibilities of post-war recovery were reflected in the reports of leading scientists and practitioners: E.Libanova, H.Lopushnyak, G.Osovyi, V.Bykovets, V.Kostrytsia, O.Doronina, O.Novikova, I.Petrova, M.Kichurchak, L.Shaulska, L.Lisohor, S.Tsymbaliuk, S.Kalinina, T.Kostyshyna, K.Bondarevska, foreign partners - Gechbaia Badri, Marta Jaroszewicz, Dr. Ritu Pareek and others. The conference participants were able to discuss current trends in human resources management, share the experience of integrating internally displaced migrants in Poland, outline the prospects for the development of education in post-war Ukraine, and dive into the problems of digitalization and adaptation to today's challenges through workforce ecosystems, the formation of business ecosystems based on sustainable development, etc. The speakers unanimously agreed that the country's revival is impossible without rethinking the essence and content of the phenomena and processes inherent in the economy of uncertainty and requires innovative approaches to the development of human capital, the labor market, and a paradigm shift in social security. It is noted that only a human-centered model of the economy based on the principles of ecosystems can and should become a reality if we want to win and be competitive in the global market. Conference website: https://sites.google.com/kneu.edu.ua/conference?usp=sharing On May 11, 2022, the All-Ukrainian Scientific and Practical Conference “Socioeconomics and Management: State, Trends, Management Decisions” was held, organized by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, the Department of Socioeconomics and Human Resources Management of the State Higher Educational Institution “Vadym Hetman Kyiv National Economic University”. Holding such an event under martial law is indisputable proof of the civic position of the academic community, courage, and willpower to perform their work at a highly professional level. The conference participants from 29 higher education institutions and 8 research institutions reasonably identified trends and tendencies in the field of socioeconomics and human resources management in the new socioeconomic reality caused by the COVID-19 pandemic and the introduction of martial law. Leading scholars and young scientists demonstrated the competence of modern economic thinking, culture, and understanding of the philosophy of the development of the world of work, social sphere, and changing values. They outlined new opportunities, new risks and threats, and new multidirectional challenges generated by modern turbulent socio-economic processes. Scientists presented in-depth reports on changing the paradigm of the social and labor sphere, in particular on the components of employment and labor organization, determining the place of a person in the coordinates of the new socio-economic reality and his or her motivation, overcoming current problems in the field of education, developing models of competencies of a digital worker, the need to implement a green economy and corresponding business models, developing and adapting to the challenges of the social sphere in conditions of turbulence, finding innovative approaches and effective solutions in the management of the social sphere. Despite the online format of the event, the virtual conference room had a friendly atmosphere that facilitated scientific discussion, dissemination of research results, and raising problematic issues that still need to be addressed. The Organizing Committee of the conference expresses its sincere gratitude to all the participants, particularly to the young conquerors of scientific heights - higher education students and young scientists, as well as to the respected mentors - leading scientists. On November 11-12, 2020, Vadym Hetman Kyiv National Economic University held an international scientific and practical conference, “Social and Labor Sphere in the Coordinates of the New Economy and Global Socio-Economic Reality: Challenges, Ways of Development” online. The conference was attended by nearly 100 representatives of scientific schools from various universities and research institutions of Ukraine, Belarus, Georgia, India, Moldova, and Poland. The conference highlighted the achievements of the Vadym Hetman Kyiv National Economic University's Labor School and representatives of the scientific community of Ukraine and some foreign countries on social and labor issues in the new economy and socio-economic reality of the XXI century. Based on the published reports and discussion results, a resolution was prepared, and a decision was made to send it to the relevant ministries, the Federation of Trade Unions of Ukraine, and the All-Ukrainian Public Organization “Ukrainian Association of Personnel Officers.” On January 29, 2020, the Department of Personnel Management and Labor Economics held a round table, “Reforming Labor Legislation in Ukraine: New Challenges and Opportunities,” with the participation of labor scientists representing scientific schools of labor economics and social and labor relations. As a result of the roundtable, the text of the Resolution “Reforming Labor Legislation: New Challenges and Opportunities” was formulated and decided to send it to government agencies. In 2019 (October 23-24), the International Scientific and Practical Conference “EMPLOYMENT AND INCOME IN THE DIGITAL ECONOMY: REGULATORY MECHANISMS, CHALLENGES AND DEVELOPMENT DOMINANTS”. Nearly 100 scholars attended the conference. Based on the discussion results, a collection of abstracts and reports of the participants of the International Scientific and Practical Conference was prepared and published. The speakers and other participants concluded that the expectations dominating society that the digital economy is a new level of socialization of labor relations, new opportunities for self-realization and the establishment of human-oriented values, and a new level of quality of working life remain rosy predictions that have no real implementation. The world in general, and the world of work in particular, is increasingly polarized and stratified and, therefore, becoming more unstable and unfair. Asymmetries in such conditions are no longer the exception but the rule. International Scientific and Practical Internet Conference “SOCIAL AND LABOR SECTOR IN THE INFORMATION ECONOMY: CURRENT STATE, PROBLEMS AND STRATEGIC DIRECTIONS OF DEVELOPMENT” was held on November 26-29, 2018. The participants were scientists from different regions of Ukraine and foreign researchers. During the discussion, a unanimous opinion was reached on the growing importance of the social and labor consequences of global changes under the influence of the digital economy.The participants emphasized that it is now important to comprehensively, objectively, and impartially analyze the social and labor sphere transformations, identifying the dominant trends, trends, and dominants of further development of the new network economy and post-industrial society.
