CREATIVE CONTRIBUTION OF THE FOUNDER AND INTELLECTUAL LEADER OF THE SCHOOL - PROFESSOR A.M. KOLOTA.Kolot is the founder of the modern direction of the scientific school of human resources management and labor economics. He was one of the first to launch fundamental research on labor issues in the context of the formation and development of a market economy, social partnership, social cohesion, social responsibility of economic entities, the state and civil society, and social policy.This well-known economist in Ukraine and abroad, together with his followers and like-minded professors, Doctors of Economics, Professors S.O. Tsymbaliuk, G.S. Lopushniak, I.L. Petrova, Y.M. Marshavin and others, is researching large-scale transformations in the world of work and the quality of labor in the context of global changes, the spread of the network economy, automation and shifts in organizational structures and management models. Under the intellectual leadership of A.M. Kolot, the scientists of the scientific school in their research and training oppose the technocratic approach in economic policy and management practice to the imperative of developing social responsibility of socio-economic actors at all levels of Ukrainian society, socialization of the labor sphere. A.M. Kolot provides scientific guidance to the Institute of Social and Labor Relations of the Kyiv National Economic University named after Vadym Hetman, coordinates and directs research and scientific and pedagogical work in the direction of formation, functioning and development of social and labor relations. The total number of printed works by A.M. Kolot is more than 390 titles. He is the author and co-author of 32 monographs, 31 textbooks and manuals. The works of A.M. Since the 1990s, A.M. Kolot has repeatedly participated in the preparation of the President's Annual Addresses to the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine. He is one of the developers of a number of legislative and other regulatory acts of Ukraine in the field of labor and social and labor relations, in particular, the draft Laws of Ukraine “On Collective Bargaining Agreements and Contracts”, “On Trade Unions, Their Rights and Guarantees of Activity”, “On Remuneration of Labor”, “On Social Dialogue in Ukraine”. Realizing the importance of reforming social and labor relations, he initiated and held roundtables on “Reforming Labor Legislation: New Challenges and Opportunities” (January 29, 2020) and “Discussion of the Draft Law of Ukraine ‘On Labor’ (October 19, 2022). As a result of the discussion, recommendations for improving labor legislation were developed and sent to the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, relevant ministries and social partners.
